The New Microsoft Office Suite Gets the Boost It Deserves!

We just got our hands on the latest Microsoft Office, known as Office 2013, and we are instantly loving it! The most significant difference that we notice when we fire up our newly installed Microsoft Words is that it is super SMOOTH! It's truly a pleasure using the new Words, especially when our favourite image rotation feature that was missing since Office 2007 is finally back, with even more flexibility. Besides that, it's now easier to access the layout option, which you can select the way your pictures are placed within the text.

Those are just some of the hundreds of brand new features introduced in this shiny new Office suite, and you will discover more as you use it for your daily tasks. And the best part is, though it looks like it has been completely overhaul to suit the new Windows 8 interface, most of its forms and functions still remain familiar to Office 2010 & 2007 users.

Hatchi: When we were young

Those days when tablets and smartphones were still non existence, when we were still watching the big box TV set, Tamagochi was once a trend. It was every kid's dream. The product of Bandai was a hit, and people loved the idea of rearing pets in a portable electronic box.

Today, with all the amazing post pc devices blooming, some might still miss the fun of this aging gaming device, and fortunately, we are in luck. Though not developed by the original company, the iOS app "Hatchi" is what we would expect from an electronic pet, you can hatch, feed, bath, and play with it. And when its energy level went low, you can even put it to sleep. The only shortcoming of this app is that you can't actually pair it with another player for battle. Yet, we still think that this is an app worth recommending, especially to those who miss the old days, like us!

This app is available at both the Appstore and Google Play for just $0.99! (At least it's much cheaper than d real stuff ;)

Tim Offers Alternative Solution for the Buggy Map App

Feeling frustrated with the buggy Apple Map after updating to iOS6? Perhaps you can try out some alternative map apps while the BIG GUY is solving the problem. Right after Tim Cook's open apology about Apple's faulty map app, Apple has officially open a new category called "Find Maps for Your iPad/iPhone". It recommends to you all the great alternative map apps that you can use while they are working on fixing theirs. If you are more comfortable with Google's own map service, Tim Cook also suggested a way to create a icon for Google map website on your home screen in his very own open apology letter. Well, let's just hope that the iOS software team under the lead of Scott Forstall can make things better soon.

AppsGoneFree Turns Wider

If there is an app that we were to choose to keep permanently on our iPad, it would definitely be the amazing AppsGoneFree. It's an amazing app that update iOS users on all the great apps offers which only stay for limited time. And with the latest update, it's finally optimized for the wide, beautiful display of iPad. The developers have taken full advantage of the wide screen display and allow the users to view more information about the free apps. Also available on the side of the screen, is a simple but effective list of dates. You can just tap on any of the date and preview the previous offers. If you are lucky, some of the offers might still be valid. We really enjoy the practicality and convenience of this app, what are you waiting for? ;)

Pulse Did It Again!

To be frank, I am kinda tired with tablet-related news. It seems that nobody remembers how amazing PCs are anymore. Well, the popular personalized mag app developer, Pulse, strives to change the trend. Pulse is one of the first developer, after Tripit, that attempt to deliver personalized mag and news reading experience to our PC, and they have done it with style!

Pulse has really taken full advantage of the power of HTML5 to deliver its interactive interface. By sharing the same UI as its mobile app, the web app version of Pulse (also known as Pulse.me) is absolutely user friendly. It's tiles design also make it easy for the future touch-focused Windows 8 devices.

To access to the content of Pulse.me, all you have to do is to sign up for an account. You can do it either by using email or facebook, and it doesn't take you much time before you can start customizing your mag. After the sign up process, you are given choices of a number of categories. After you have done the selection, Pulse.me will gather up all the related news feed and display them in a series of tiles, making it easy for users to navigate.

It's good to see developers like Pulse initiating a bold move to provide great contents through the web, let's hope that there are more to come!
