Case: Virus eat up all my files in the external drive and turn them into shortcuts! (solved)

The issue of virus changing your files and documents into shortcuts have been common, but most of us are not aware of the solution. If it just happened on your 1GB pendrive which holds only a few unimportant files, you normally would just reformat that pendrive, and yeay! problem solved! But what if that happened to your 500GB external hard drive? What if that hard drive of yours holds all of your important documents?? Now, you feel the pain.

Great news is, I've actually two ways to solve this problem, both proven effective, and one even being tested on my friend's laptop. The first method is simple, just open your windows explorer, click "Organize" on the upper toolbar, and click on "Folder and search options". Next, click on the "view" tab, where you will see a list of advanced settings. Search for "Hidden files and folders" within the list, then mark on "show hidden files, folders, and drives". Apply the changes and close that windows. Now, go to your infected hard drive and check if there's a list of hidden folders and files that have been hidden. If you see it, good news for you, your problem is practically solved. Now, you just have to highlight all the hidden folders and right click. Go to "Properties" and change the "attribute" from "hidden" to "read-only". Now, your files have reappeared. Don't forget to delete all the shortcuts in your hard drive and run a virus scan.

The second method would be a little bit harder, but in case the first method fail to help you, you can use this one. First, you have to click the Windows Start button and search for "CMD" in the search box, then press "enter" to open "cmd". (Note: "cmd" stands for command prompt, in case you don't know ;) ) In your "cmd", type in "attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.* " (omit the quotation marks). Remember to replace the "g" with the letter of your infected drive. For example, if your external hard drive is "(F:)", then replace "g" with "f". After you've checked the spacing of your command, tap "enter" to activate the command. Now, you just have to wait for the repairing to be done. After a minute or two, open your infected hard drive again and check if the files and folders have already reappeared. If they are back, you just have to delete all the shortcuts in your hard drive, and then double check all your files to see whether they are safe. When you've confirmed everything, you can now do a virus scan on your hard drive to check if there's any leftover of virus in it.

Scream

With Halloween just past a day ago, many of you might not have enough, and if you still want to have some SPOOKY fun, there is definitely an app for you! With a familiar name "Scre4m", this game is based on the recent released horror movie, "Scre4m", which featured the ghostface killer with his spooky mask that had also appeared in the Scary Movie Series years ago. This game app is not for everyone, as the eerie background music and place setting of the game can really give you some goosebumps. The game control is extremely easy. You just have to use your index finger to navigate your ghostface to seek for his victims around the place, such as the frat party, gym, mansion, movie theatre and at last, the police station. When you successfully locate a victim, you can tap on him or her to kill. Once tapped, the game will teach you how to slash the victim to death in the most gruesome way. However, ghostface is not invinsible, as he has to avoid meeting cops who walk around, investigating the murder case. If your ghostface come face to face with a cop, he will take you down by shooting at your ghostface. The shots are fatal. Fortunately, you can avoid them by Controlling your ghostface to turn off the room light to prevent being traced by the cops.

This game is amusing and fun to play, especially when you are out of idea of what to do on Saturday night. So, enjoy slashing :)

Future Macbook Pro Turned Ultra Thin?

Shocking but not surprising, news about Apple adapting Macbook Air's ultra thin design on its future Macbook Pro has been spreaded around the world, but is it a wise move? With the hard drive replaced by slim SSD and optical drive ommited, this new Macbook Pro is no longer flexible and business friendly. Though it's undeniable that CDs & DVDs can be replaced by pendrives, its somehow still essential for businesses as some might still prefer the conventional way. Besides, With the switch to SSD, price will certainly rise a lot, as SSD are known to be expensive and small in storage. With a small SSD, storage will become another issue, with the need of purchasing an external hard drive for backup and storage, unless you are willing to spend extra cash on a 512GB SSD. Furthermore, let's not forget about the heat issue. If you are a Macbook Pro user, you definitely would notice the amount of heat generated by your device. Even in the air conditioning show room of Machine, Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, Macbook Pro is still hot, especially at the bottom, most probably caused by the graphic processors. So, my point is, if Macbook Pro's thickness is reduced and the graphic is getting higher, what will happen to the Macbook? Will it overheat faster than before? So far, we don't know.

So, is the changes really good? You judge :)

Customize your Personal Newspaper with Flipboard

Self customized digital magazines and newspapers apps have becoming more popular nowadays, and readers no longer need to rely on specific news apps like WSJ (Wall Streets Journal), NST (New Straits Times), BBC News, etc. to get the latest updates around the world. There's no sole winner in this category, as new apps literally appear every single day. However, after a round of testing several reputable apps, I can say that I personally love "Flipboard" the most.

With Flipboard, you can mix and match your favourite news and topics on the user interface, by simply tapping the "+" button. There are huge numbers of news to choose from, including tech and science, fashion, entertainment, sports, local, travel, style, and much more. Under each category, there is a long list of titles which you can add to your Favourite. You are free to rearrange the arrangement of the news as you wish. When you want to read up any of the columns, just tap on it and it will display the pages related. For example, if you want to read articles in Forbes Tech News, you can just tap on the Forbes column and it will bring you to the articles, where you can browse through them by flip the pages like what you did in iBook. When you see an article that you are interested in, just tap on it or do a pinch motion on the article preview, and you will be able to view the full length article instantly. It's that easy!

Another notable feature that is worth mentioning is the ability to add your facebook and Twitter account into Flipboard, which will help to notify you the latest updates of your accounts. This however, is not so useful for me as I prefer using the official Facebook app and I'm not really that active in Twitter.

Facetime

iOS users are lucky, as you guys have the opportunity to experience one of the best video chatting clients in the world. This is not an Apple ad, I can personally guarantee that. I'm just an iPad 2 user who is satisfied with this product. Okey, back to the topic, Facetime. There are always pros and cons when we review a product, and same goes to this app.

Well, first, I will talk about the advantages. Compared to other available video chatting apps such as Skype app, Facetime is more responsive, with smoother and faster video streaming. That means you will unlikely have lagging video streaming. Another amazing feature of Facetime is its ability to switch cameras, changing from the front facing camera to the back camera, enabling you to show off your current location without physically turning your iPad 2.

What about the disadvantages? One extremely important feature that Facetime lacks is the ability to send chat messages, something that is included in Skype from the very beginning of its release. Though this feature can still be accessed through the new iMessages app in iOS5, it is still quite inconvenient as the messaging feature is not integrated in Facetime, making it difficult to access both features at the same time. Next is the grainy video quality of Facetime. It's mainly caused by the 0.7 Mega Pixel Rear Camera and the front facing camera of iPad which is only 0.3 Mega Pixel. However, if the purpose is for video chatting, it is still decent enough. For iPhone 4 and 4S users, this is not really the issue you guys have nice quality 5 MP and 8MP cameras which good enough to display crisp video quality in Facetime.

In short, Facetime is fun and easy to use, with clear audio and decent video streaming speed, making it one of the attractive features in iOS devices. Though there are certain flaws that we managed to point out, it is still a noteworthy video chatting app.

Tips to reveal recently closed tab in iOS5

The good news is, the brand new iOS5 now supports tab browsing, which is very handy for most of us. But some of you might miss the page switch feature in iOS4.3.5 which you can click to view all the pages that you recently opened. Here is a handy tips for you (quoted from iPad Insight).

In your iOS5 Safari browser, you can see the "+" button at the right side of your tabs, all you need to do is tap and hold that button for a while and the list of recently closed tabs will emerge immediately. That's it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

HP is back, perhaps with more surprise :)

The computer giant, Hewlett Packett who previously claimed to stop their production of personal computers and follow IBM path to focus on servicing, has just announced their decision to keep their computer division (according to Gizmodo), which means that they will continue their desktops and laptops production. Second big news would be the company's plan to build Windows 8 based tablets, which is one of HP's strategies to regain their tablet business reputation. Next, HP has just announced its future plan to enter the recently popular ultrabook market, following Asus and Acer's attempt to compete with Apple's Macbook Air. More surprises coming soon? Maybe.

APPSOLUTELY Your Personal App Guide!

Our top recommended app for today would be AppStart, a free app developed by AppAdvice.com. This incredibly beautiful app is a must-have for those who just unboxed their iPad. If you are a new iOS user who is about to drive to the nearest book store to grab a copy of AppGuide, please hold on, as this app can practically replace the expensive RM59.90 AppGuide in assisting you to find your perfect apps. Whether you are a workaholic who seeks for apps that transform your iPad into a complete PC replacement, or a mother who desires apps that can help to please and educate your children, this app is there for you. With a gorgeous interface, this app is not just practical but also good looking. It divides all apps recommendations into tidy and easily referable sections, such as web browsing, games, social networking, photo editing, etc. Besides that, there's also a page called APPESSENTIALS which summarizes all the recommended apps into 20 neat categories, like Apps for Business, Utility Toolbox, Apps for Fitness, Best Word Processors, Best Calorie Counters, and much more. When you tap into any of the sections, a list of apps with short and sweet, jargon free descriptions will appear, where you can read and decide which app you like. If you find an app and decide to purchase it, there's an orange button beside each app which bring you straight to the AppStore.

Overall, this app is fun and useful, making it one of the top recommended app in my list :)

Paranormal Activity 3

It's true that I hate watching horror movie, especially the bloody and psychotic type, something like Piranha 3D and The Saw. Not to say that I love watching ghost movies, but movies like Paranormal Activity really tempted me to spend RM11 on it. To be honest, I really find this movie irksome and draggy most of the time, with all those boring footages of the family's daily life. But then, At the same time, I quite agree with the director's way of shooting the film, because that's the fun part of this film, making audiences feel engaged to the scenes of the movie. Scenes such as the appearance of unknown figure in the footage, lights turning on automatically, and noises that come out of nowhere, they feel so close to all of us, perhaps because those are the fear that we all share deep inside our heart. This movie, though not the scariest, can leave a great impact in you, especially if you are among the faint-hearted. I personally like the idea of the main character placing a video camera on a modified table fan. The rotating fan successfully create a strong element of suspense. By having the video camera rotating from left to right, audiences will instinctively be expecting something special to emerge in front of it, and the period of waiting for the rotation to complete is seriously torturing. Compared to the first and second Paranormal Activity movies, this one is more exciting, with more action taking place. There are basically more people involved with the demon's attack, and the way it attacks is creepier than before, like lifting the girl up by pulling her hair upward, pushing the girl away, suddenly dragging the girl into the store room and lock the door, killing the guy by suddenly bending and breaking his spine in split seconds, etc.

For me, this movie is pretty realistic and has the potential of freaking people out. The storyline is more compact, compared to the previous one. Most of the scary scenes come together and that helps to enhance the feeling of anxiety, putting more flavour into this amazing production.

How to split your oversized video files easily?

We all know that email only supports maximum 25 MB of file attachment, and we also know that it is difficult to transfer an oversized video file through Skype and Windows Messenger, that's even annoying when we have an 8GB HD movie that we want to move to a hard disc with FAT32 file system.

So here's a solution for all your problems, a tiny application called HJSplit. HJSplit is literally tiny, with the size of just 197KB. No kidding! And it not only split your files, it even work well in recombining files! HJSplit is a real deal, where it supports over 100GB of files size, which is more than enough for all of us. Besides that, it is also completely portable, with no installation required. You carry it around with you by transferring it into your USB devices, CDs or DVDs.

This application supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, as well as Linux and DOS.

Track your music

In Sony Ericsson, you've your track ID, That's really an amazing feature, especially when you hear a song but don't know its name, but what really bothers me is that it cost ou a fortune to detect a song. So what about the idea of tracking your favourite tunes without paying a cent using your iOS device? Some of you may be familiar with an app called Shazam which function like track ID, and do even more than just detecting the music, it shows the thumbnail of the album, top charts and even video of the song. Well, besides Shazam, I've got another handy app that works the same, and most of the time, even faster! It's called "SoundHound". What's special about this app is that, it has a speedy scanning time, and the scan result is detailed, displaying the info of the song, youtube video, what other users have found, etc. Besides detecting music, my personal favourite is its ability to detect our voice, which means that you can find the detail of a song by tapping on the recording button and say out the name of the song. It will find you the song from its database instantly. Following are some screenshots that I took while trying out both these amazing apps, hope you enjoy it too!

Free HD Graphic Racing Game for iPad

If you are a gamer who likes high graphic racing game, you are definitely going to love this! This gaming app developed by Gameloft named "GT Racing: Motor Academy Free+HD" is amazingly fun, featuring cars from 26 manufacturers, including those well known racing icons such as Nissan GT-R, Bugatti Veyron, BMW M3, Ferrari F430, etc. The concept of the game is similar to PC racing games like the well known Need For Speed series, by joining the career mode, you will have to pass driving tests and win races to collect game credits and unlock more cars. You can even tune your car to maximize its performance!

Controlling the game is easy, there's a throttle and break pedal at both sides of your screen, which you can customize their positions to suit your habit. Changing directions is simple, just physically tilt your iPad to left or right side and the car will follow your action. The response of the car is fast and accurate, and the graphic performance is great, thanks to the built-in accelerometer, three-axis gyroscope and compass.

How to do screen cap on your iPad?

Everyone knows how useful it is to do print screen on your Windows PC. You can show others how your PC screen looks like, especially when you want to do a demo or tutorial. what about iPad? Do we need to download any special app to do that? No. Just click and hold your "home screen button" and at the same time, click the "lock screen button" on the top right corner of your iPad, this will capture your screen and save automatically to your "Camera Roll". You can view the image at your photo album.

The "+" Button in iPad Contacts is Missing (solved)

Try imagine, in a love morning, your old friend whom you never met for five years suddenly messaged you and invited you to Facetime on your iPad. You were excited, as you happened to just upgraded our iPad to the brand new iOS5. But when you're about to add her into your contact, something weird caught your attention, the "+" and "edit" buttons in your "Contacts" book was missing! What should you do???

Yeah, I know, that's really frustrating, I'd faced the same problem too. So, what should we do? Actually, it's easier than you thought! First, go to the "Settings" and tap on "iCloud" at the left sidebar. At the right side, you can see a list of components. Search for the word "Contacts" and check whether it is switched "on". If it is "off", just turn it on. Now, you can go back to your "Contacts" and add new contacts. See! I told ya it's simple!

iOS5 - Amazing Gestures

It's been a while since my last update, been busy with lots of stuff, so finally, my first update on iOS5. While all of us know how amazing iPad2 is, how it change the way we use personal computers, with iOS5, it simply gets even better! First significant changes which I find hard to resist is the improved multi-touch gestures. With iOS5, you can now perform some unbelievable gestures which you could previously only do in a Mac. Sounds promising? Now, let's take a brief tour on some of the gestures which I find useful.

The gesture that I would rate as Number 1 is the "swipe" gesture. Previously only available in OSX Lion, this swipe motion enables user to use four fingers to swipe through running apps. This helps to get rid of the trouble of double clicking the home screen button just to see what apps you are currently running. Now, navigating across apps become so easy.

Next, is the pinch gesture, which can be used to exit from an app to the home screen. All you need to do is use four or five fingers and do a pinch motion right on your apps, this will minimize your app and bring you back to your home screen, without needing you to click on your home screen button.

Finally, the last amazing gesture is the "swipe up" gesture, which allows you to view all your running apps at the bottom of your screen without double clicking your home screen button. The gesture is simple, just place four fingers on your touch screen, and do a "swipe-up" motion, it will open up the hidden drawer below the screen which all running apps are located. To close the drawer, just perform a "swipe-down" motion on the screen, it's that simple!

That's it! Now you can enjoy multitasking on your iPad and avoid destroying your home screen button.   :)

iOS5 upgrade DONE

yeay! finally upgraded my iPad2 to iOS5!!! will update u guys with more review related to the new iOS5 soon

Real Steel Premier

Thank you so much Nuffnang for giving me two free tickets to the premier screening of "Real Steel" which happened on 12th October 2011, two days ago, at Cathay, e@Curve Damansara. Honestly, it was the first time I won a context, and it feels so great!

Well, let me tell you guys lil bit about Real Steel. Of course, there's Hugh Jackman, which is one of the reasons why Room 10 was packed with audiences. And the story is about robot boxing which fulfilled most audiences' expectation, both robo lovers and action junkies will definitely love the show. For me, the storyline is kinda cliche, which is about a father who at first felt annoyed of his unknown son who suddenly came into his live, and had actually gave up custody of the boy to his ex-girlfriend's sister. But, then due to some reason, he was forced to take care of his son, and at last realized his love towards his son.

Doesn't matter how cliche and old fashion the idea is, the movie is still crazily amazing, unexpectedly mind-blowing! The insanely cool combination of Jackman (father) and Dakota Goyo (son), together with their Generation 2 robot, Atom, add lots of fun elements into the 2 hours film. The persistence of
Max (Goyo) in training his 2nd generation old robot, named Atom, and his boldness in challenging Tak Mashido's (Karl Yune) WRB (World Robot Boxing) champion Zeus, really inspires me a lot.

"Don't give up before you even start trying." That's what I learnt from this amazing movie :)

iOS5 has arrived!

iOS5 is finally released this morning, with more about 200 new features! There are still some errors faced while performing the update, maybe due to the high volume of traffic, as mentioned by some of the reviewers. Anyway, great news, it's been long time waiting, and hopefully it really works as expected. I seriously can't wait to get my hands on this newly upgraded mobile OS. Stay tune for more reviews on iOS5. Cheers! :)

Stress Buster

It's my first job interview later at 5pm, and just to cool myself down, my friend and decided to grab a drink at Starbucks. and coincidently, the Morning Glory fruit drink that we ordered is 'thought to be a stress buster', LOL.

Official Facebook App for iPad

Finally the official Facebook app for iPad is here! Previously only available in iPhone, the debut of this app will provide another great choice for Facebook users who dislike third party apps like MyPad and FriendCaster. In layout wise, this app bear a strong resemblance to MyPad, a third party Facebook and Twitter app. It has a left panel which displays a list of link to your favourites, groups, and apps. Under the "Favourite" tab you can find your news feed, messages, your location (Nearby), events and friends, while under "apps", you can find your apps such as photos, notes, foursquare, etc. My personal favourite is the built-in "Nearby" which it will detect your approximate location using Google Map and let you post your location updates in your profile. It's much similar to the Foursquare app, also available in the App Store.

You can find this official Facebook app at the App Store or by clicking on the following link:

It's like Christmas!

It really feels like Christmas while I finally purchased my first ever Keynote app from the App Store. I'm like a little child receiving his first Christmas present, it is awesome! I finally gt the chance to create Jobs' style presentation! Though I haven't officially start using it, my first impression of this software is great! Not only it provides cool tools and customization options, it is also compatible with my ppt. & pptx. files which I made using my Microsoft Power Point 2010. I like the convenience of being able to produce and edit slideshow anywhere I want. After completing a slideshow, I can straightly plug-in my Apple VGA port and project the slideshow through any LCD projector. There's so far no compatibility issue between iPad2 and LCD projectors. Well, after performing hour of test drive, I 'm thrilled to bits! Not only that it is a total no-brainer, it provides full functionality of a slideshow presentation software. With the price of $9.99 USD, it's really reasonable. Apple has done a great job producing this amazingly great app, why not support the original??

There are still some shortcoming with this app. First, there's no sound effect support in the app. Next, you can't perform hyperlink, which for me is quite important because I like to embed video into my presentation. And of course, no video support so far :(  However, if you're a presenter on the go, you will like the convenience and creativity that this app can bring to you.

A Teacher's Tale (In remembrance of Steve Jobs)

as an English teacher, it's hard to imagine how much had Steve inspired me all this while. He really affected me a lot in the usage of technology in teaching.I I always like to watch the Apple product advertisement, it's so amazing to see the way Steve and his team brought out the whole atmosphere of the product, how they emphasized on the advantage of their product, and how he managed to outshine other manufacturers. The ads have given me lots of ideas in creating my lessons. Almost everyday I would sit down in front of my laptop, watching Apple's ads. The iPad2 and Macbook Air ads, for instance, have given incredible inspirations to recreate a more appealing English aural & oral lesson, which can help me to attract students attention and interest, just like the way Steve attracted the viewers' attention, and at the same time, draw them to become his customers. Students' attention and interest are vital in Education. Without that essential element, we as teachers will never be able to reach their heart. I still remember how I used to hate English when I was in secondary school. The teacher was awful and her teaching was dry and extremely teacher-centred, most of us slept in the class during the lesson. I would rather buy and read a reference book than attending the class. That's exactly what I'm trying to change. Steve Jobs always believe that he could change the world, that his products make the world a better place, that's the spirit I always try to keep in mind. I know very well that I'm no Steve Job, but I do believe that, by having faith and strong confidence in myself, I can change the way children learn their language. I can still recall the nights I spent hours and hours watching Steve's keynote presentation. His speeches are legend. And his skills in luring us to believe in his ideology really amazed me, and it still amaze me until now. He was definitely one of the best speakers I've ever seen. Besides his skills of insulting his opponents in a homourous and extremely sarcastic manner, he also has the ability to influence his listeners to truely engage themselves in his speech, his eye contact and his manipulation of playful hand gestures, his lively expressions really make every keynote that he hosted more like a live concert. If only We can bring this excitement into our English classroom, the world will truely become a better place. Another aspect of Steve that I truely salute was his everlasting enthusiasm in work. For him, every single product of his is a masterpiece. Everything, including the one and a half minutes Apple advertisements. He involved himself in almost every production process. From small stuff like advertisements to big thing like product design. Everything hold the same weight for him. He felt the excitement in designing a Macbook, the same way as creating a 15 pages slideshow for a keynote presentation. He is the guy that can cry while watching a simple advertisement video, and would frown over tiny little mistake that team had made. He is the kind of man who would spend the whole sleepless night just to plan a five pages slideshow presentation and he's the guy who would tear off a retail store design model which was built in almost one year, just because it didn't fulfill his expectation. That's what he is. And his persistents and energy in making things right are what we should learn, as an English teacher, for teaching is also a creative profession. Steve, I will still spend every night in front of my iPad, watching your keynote, learning your presentation skills. R.I.P Steve Jobs. My Hero

Steve Jobs - My Forever Hero

Steve Jobs (1955-2011), my idol, a visionary speaker, a creative spirit and a persistent leader. I still can't believe that he's gone. He had given me more than just idea and inspiration, but also taught me to become a better presenter and teacher. He taught me of how technology can help to change the world, and how I could use those amazing things to change the way I teach my students. I would remember you forever, Steve.

And now, let us mourn for the lost of a great teacher. Steve, thanks for giving the world the most delicious Apple I've ever tasted.

The New iPhone Unveiled

I know we've been waiting for this moment for a long time, the iPhone 5, another legend from Apple. But...wait a second!!! iPhone 4S??? not 5??????? I believe most of you out there shares the same shocking feeling as me. Yes, it's really disappointing for all Apple fans who are waiting for the new star to be released. What's more discouraging is that it looks just the same as the previous iPhone 4 model. Nothing more or less. It offers the same screen size, 3.5 '',with exactly the same UI, while other competitors are showing off their bigger and wider screen. With so many competitors out there working hard to overtake iPhone's popularity, it's just not right for Apple to keep its sweet old screen size.

Maybe I'm being hypocritical. But after being the bad guy, complaining about the look of the new iPhone, I would turn over and tell you that inner beauty matters most. iPhone 4S, fortunately holds amazing innards which are capable of wowing its users for many years. First thing is the all new DUAL Core A5 Chip, which delivers 2 times more power, and 7 times more graphic performance! This helps support better multitasking in its new iOS5, and save more battery life.

The second killer feature would be its built in 8MP camera. Many have said that one factor that makes iPhone 4 less competitive is its camera, as Apple's rivals have come out with higher resolution camera and better HD video recording. So, here it is, a better iPhone with a brand new 8 Mega Pixel camera, which is capable of shooting high resolution 1080p videos! It is a leap forward compared to its predecessor, iPhone 4, with a shy 5MP camera, supporting 720p HD video. Apple even claimed that the 4S gives you 60 percents more pixels than the 4. And it's not just that! It also features new optics, which help you capture the best photo in any lighting condition.

As quoted from Apple:

"The custom lens uses five precision elements to shape incoming light, which makes the entire image sharper. The larger f/2.4 aperture lets in more light, so photos look brighter and better. And the advanced hybrid infrared filter keeps out harmful IR light, so you’ll see more accurate and uniform colors."

Besides that, the new generation backside illumination sensor is designed with improvement in sensitivity and a shorter exposure time, which help the camera to capture the brightness identical to the original scene. And even better, there's a refined LED flash which automatically aid you in low light condition (it's up to you to turn it off). There's a lot more about this amazing camera which couldn't be completely introduced here due to the limited space, you can check it out at http://www.apple.com/iphone/built-in-apps/camera.html.

Next, is Siri. Siri is a dream come true to those who favour the Voice Action feature in Android, and Siri lifts it to a whole new level. Siri allows you to use your voice to do a lot of stuff, like sending messages, listening to reply, make phone calls, asking for weather condition, and many other daily stuff, things that you usually do everyday. It's like no other ordinary Voice Action feature, it doesn't need you to adjust your voice pattern to match it, you are free to talk the way you talk. Siri is able to understand you, and even respond to what you say!
iCloud

Finally, iCloud. iCloud stores your music, photos, documents, etc. and make them available in all your Apple devices effortlessly. You don't have to worry about syncing your favourite tunes to your iPod Touch or iPad, it does everything for you, wirelessly. With Photo Stream, your beautiful snapshots will appear in all your devices, without the need of transferring. If you have an Apple TV, you can even view your photos and HD videos on its full HD display.

Now, you can keep all your work updated as well, with the power of iCloud. With iCloud, you can update all your documents anywhere you want. You will never need to spend time on saving and transferring your documents and spreadsheets, iCloud does it for you.

iCloud makes your favourite apps automatically available in all your iOS devices.
With iCloud, you don't have to worry about losing your precious data, as it automatically, backup all your important data every night when you connect your device to the power source.

iCloud helps you remember all your important schedules, mails and contacts.

Some says that Apple has made advances in its new iPhone, while some criticize its non radical changes, especially its screen size and case. So, good or bad? It's up to you to decide. :)

Note: iPhone 4S will be released on October 14, 8.00am in U.S, and available for online pre-order from October 7. As for Malaysia iPhone lovers, we might still need to wait a month or two before this brand new iPhone 4S is available in our local Apple resellers.
