Issues with Asus laptop's hotkey (Solution)

Many of us who use Asus laptop will probably face or faced this problem before.

Problem description: one day, you turn on your laptop and suddenly you noticed that your hotkeys/shortcut keys are not working anymore. You can't mute your laptop with your "fn+F10", and can't turn off your touch pad with "fn+F9", it's so frustrating and pathetic. And even worse, though you can still adjust your brightness with your "fn+F5/F6" button, you won't be able to see the beautiful "Brightness Up" animation appearing on your screen, how depressing!

Fortunately, it's extremely easy to solve this problem. First, you click the start button, and type "e-driver" at the search box, then press enter

A Windows as shown above will appear. Now, you try to check in the list for a driver named "ATK Package". If that driver is not installed, then congratulation! You have found the source of your problem. The next step will be simple, just select "ATK Package" from the list and click start to begin the installation. Once the installation has completed, it will prompt you to reboot your laptop, which you should do immediately. After the system has rebooted, your hotkey will function perfectly :)

  2. Dear reader, thanks for visiting my blog! Regarding to your issue, I would like to help to solve it. Just wondering, have you tried to turn d bluetooth off by using d hotkey at your keyboard? After that, restart your laptop and see if the bluetooth issue is solved. Please try it and let me know whether it works.

  4. Hi! Do you know how solve this: To the left of the power button there`s several buttons. The firsth one looks like movie and music..it does not work anymore. Touchpad, wireless lan and bluetooth buttons are working. The "running man" button doesnt work, and same with the last one to the left. (looks like a screen with an S inside). My 1,3MP is also not functional. All this happend when a friend of mine upgraded my laptops OS from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7. Any idea what i can do to get these functions back up running?

    Regards

    Simon
