Reminder on PC Recovery

Do you know that your laptop might actually comes with a recovery partition? Have you actually wonder why there's a weird and tiny partition in your computer that you told not to delete? While most branded PC actually comes with a system recovery function (except the Free DOS laptop of course), many of the users never make use of it. Some don't even realise its existence. Computer companies such as TOSHIBA, ASUS, ACER, SONY VAIO, DELL, LENOVO, MSI, etc. normally pre-installed a hidden recovery partition in their laptops, which can help customers to recover their laptop to original factory configuration. This is particularly useful when your laptop is contaminated by viruses or corrupted system files. The major problem is that customers are usually not notified by their PC dealers regarding this feature, nor are they reminded to make their own recovery disc at the first day of their PC usage. The worst-case scenario is that some are even more ignorant that they actually send their PC to reformat when things go wrong, without knowing that they have actually deleted a RM100 over worth of asset from their PC.

So this actually a friendly reminder to all my readers out there, please check and make sure you've created your recovery disc (if you've the recovery function in your laptop). If your technician have re-formated your PC, make sure you do it the next time you purchase your new PC.

For those who dislike the recovery option and prefer more freedom in installing your own OS and system configuration, you're still advised to make a copy of your own recovery disc, because who knows, one day might want your original factory setting back  :)
