Failure in installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (Solution)

Most of us managed to install Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack 1) with success using the Windows Update Manager which is built-in all versions of Windows 7. The installation takes less than 30 minutes to complete, which is more efficient if compare to Windows Vista. However, there are cases of failure, which Windows fails to configure your Service pack update, thus forced to revert your SP installation. In this case, what should we do next? We couldn't just reformat the whole computer just for this problem right?
If this error occurs on your Windows PC, the first thing you need to do is to check your system type. If you're not what is that, just click on 'computer' at your start menu, and search for 'system properties' at the top left corner of your windows. You can refer to the screenshot below for better understanding.
Click on 'System Properties' and check your system type.
If your system type is 32-bit Operating System, please click on the following link:

If your system type is 64-bit Operating System, please click on the following link:

These two links will lead you to the official Windows download page to download the System Updates Readiness Tool which was designed specially to solve Windows updates failure issues such as software, drivers, and service packs updates.

When you reach the download page, just click on the dark orange 'download' button and wait for it to prompt you to save the file in your preferable location. After that, wait for it to finish downloading. Now,go to your download folder and double click on the tool that you've downloaded to install it. If it prompts you download and install the hotfix, just do so.

After the installation is completed, just close the installation Windows and open your Windows Update Manager again. Now, search for the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and try to download and install it again. This time, the problem should be solved. Just wait for the download and installation to finish, and restart your PC when it asks you to.
