My 3+1 PC Maintenance Formula (Cont.)

If you can still recall my previous post on 3+1 PC Maintenance Formula, some of you must be wondering why there are only three software mentioned in the post, since I actually talk about 3+1. In this latest post, I'll continue with my "+1", the last software of my maintenance formula. While the previous three software focus on cleaning and defragmenting your computer, this last one is a bit different.

The software is Process Lasso. It is very effective in improving the PC responsiveness and preventing system crashes from occurring.
The software user interface is neat, without any extra clutter. There's an animated graph at the upper portion of the software interface, with clear indication of  processor use (red)responsiveness (green)process restraint (yellow), and memory load (blue), all in four different colours. The lower portion shows a list of running processes, with clear indication of application name, CPU usage, memory usage, creation time, etc. When being minimized, Process Lasso runs quietly in the background, with no significant impact on the system performance.

Process Lasso works through an algorithm known as ProBalance (Process Balance). It functions by dynamically adjust the system processes priorities, to ensure the system responsiveness to be on tip top condition. If there are certain process(es) that take up too many CPU cycles (click on it for more detail explanations), ProBalance will automatically adjust it/them to maintain the system stability and responsiveness, hence reduce the possibility of system crashes and at the same time improve the computer performance.

If you're an inexperience PC user, it would be advisable for you to make no attempt to configure the advanced settings in the software, as this might lead to undesirable consequences. But for those power users who really want the best out of their software, they can try using the advanced options available such as the whitelist and blacklistantisleep, etc. to tweak their system.

The trial version of Process Lasso software includes a nag screen, which is quite acceptable since it's free of charge. Moreover, despite the company's claim that the trial version has access limits, I didn't really experience any limitation through out two months of usage. I highly recommend this software as an additional system process monitoring tool, because it really prove to increase my laptop's speed and responsiveness, exactly like what the company advertised. For me, this software will be rated 4/5.
