Blood & Glory: Let's shed some blood!

If you are really into "Infinity Blade" kind of game, but don't really want to spend extra cash on that game app, this game is for you. Named "Blood & Glory", this game is indeed bloody. It lets you fight like a real warrior, slashing and slaughtering your opponent at the Roman style combat arena. You can equip your warrior with weapon, shield, armor and various potions, such as attack potion and health potion. There are also different powerful combos for you to master so as to strengthen your warrior against the enemy. At the moment you fight, you will also charge up your "special attack", which help to boost your strength and performance in split seconds.

Personally, I find this game really exciting and entertaining. It's not like other 3D games I have experienced on iPad so far. The graphic is realistic, the sound effect is motivating and fighting moves are easy to control. However, to improve your chance of winning, you have to do some in app purchasing to stock up your potions as the free ones runs out pretty quickly. Besides that, the lack of total control to the character's movement is a disadvantage. As a gamer, we are only allowed to control the slashing movements through swipe gesture (up, down, left and right). We can't really move the character around the arena, making it hard for us to avoid the opponent's attack. Yet, good news is, though in app purchasing is needed to speed up your scoring and improve your chance of winning, my test has proven that the levels are still beatable without the potions and extra weapons if you have developed real skills.

Verdict: Overall, this game is excellent, with no charges on the app itself, and amazing graphic interface. Game control is pretty neat though there are still some minor improvement needed to perfect the experience. We can't really blame the developer for offering in app purchasing as great apps require hard work. As a conclusion, Blood & Glory is a 3D game worth recommending if you like to experience one to one combat experience on your iPad.
