Arrived at Langkawi this afternoon. The ferry terminal at Kuala Perlis is unexpectedly messy and dirty, and When I reached the island, it was kind of dissappointing. Many parts of the island are still under developed, and there are a lot of abandoned buildings everywhere. Alright, enough with the negative comments, let's look at the bright side of the island. There are countless duty free shops and complexes around the island, especially near Kuah, the area I stay. Btw, I am currently staying at Bayview hotel, which is a 4 Stars hotel, yet, with insufficient parking bay. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including some nice Chinese restaurants. After meal, I visited the sea cucumber products manufacturing centre, which is quite an eye-opening experience (just look at tht huge Gamat oil in front of the centre, lol). Night life at Langkawi is equally exciting. If you want to enjoy an amazing night life, I suggest you get a dorm or motel room along the beach, since all the excitement basically occurs over there.
