Tips of The Day: Strengthen Your iPad Passcode

We all know that iPad has a "self destruct" feature which trigger your device to erase all your personal data after 10 failed passcode attempt. Think your data is safe enough with this feature? Think again! The default setting only allows you to set a 4 digit passcode, just 4 digits, which means it's still possible to crack that code within the generous "10 chances" given by Apple, if that thief has the brain of Sherlock Holmes.

Some of you may start to worry, but fear not! Here's a simple tips to strengthen your iPad security. Go to Setting, tap on "General", select "Passcode Lock". Now you should see "Simple Passcode". By default, this option is turned on. Now, turn it off. That's it! You can now follow the usual procedure to set your passcode as complicated as you wish. Just make sure you remember them, LOL.
