Next iPad turn Fatter? Really?

Well, rumours are spreading around fiercely, as they always do, and people have the tendency of believing in those stuff, no matter how ridiculous they sound.

There's this interesting rumour that I noticed circulated around the web for sometime, that the next iPad is going to be fat. Why? The "fact", as they provided, stated that Apple is planning on inserting dual LED backlight underneath the new iPad screen, so as to provide sufficient lighting for the new retina display. It did seem convincing, but try think again. If you have spent time watching the full length iPad 2 keynote hosted by Steve himself at the beginning of 2011, you will notice how much they emphasize on how their brilliant engineers have spent time figuring out a way to make the new iPad much thinner, without sacrificing their legendary battery life. So, logically, will the pirates risk their glory in the future version just for the sake of giving more lights to the new display? Unlikely. The team will more likely push themselves harder to achieve the target, hitting two birds with one stone; having a brilliant vibrant and sharp display and at the same making the device much thinner (probably with more battery life).

So, that's my personal opinion about this whole rumoured thing...what do you think?
